Description/Plot:
“I can’t remember when it all started. Angels, we’ve always existed. We’ve never not been there. He created us to be his mediators, the thing between him and his precious Humans. Our job: Deliver messages, prophecies, visions, religious blah, blah, blah. And our job was all we were allowed to do. Anything else… Well, no one really knew what would happen if you didn’t do your job. So day in and day out all we did was serve him. You can see how it could drive a person mad.
That’s what happened to me. I went a bit- Mad. Mad with power. Mad with responsibility. Mad with, well, being the best dang one at what I do. I got an ego. I said I was better than Him. God. Dad, if you will. I decided since I was the best, or so he told me, I would be king. I knew the Angels, and the Humans, better than he did. I lived amongst the Angels, and I had visited the Humans more times than he had. Of course ranting blasphemously about how you’re going to be the new king isn’t in the job description of an Angel.
So, I broke the rules. I didn’t think it was a big deal. God is supposed to be big on forgiveness right? Well apparently forgiveness is only for Humans. When you’re an Angel you only get one chance. He kicked me out. Just like that. Threw me out of Heaven forever. It Hurt. Not physically, but inside. It was like having your heart ripped out. My own father, didn’t even want me anymore…
But it was alright. Living on Earth wasn't as horrible as I expected. And I wasn’t alone. Many of my brothers and sisters followed me. They labeled us Demons, and so Demons we became on Earth. It wasn’t half bad. I was interested in the Humans. They are a curious species, constantly looking towards the future, as if they have no time for the present. Me and my fellows found entertainment in- Playing with them.
I enjoyed Earth to my surprise. So much I decided I should make it my own. So I wouldn’t be the king of Heaven, but I could be the king of Earth. So I began putting my plan together. Things were going smoothly until one day I received a visit from a certain king. Solomon was his name. He claimed to know me, and my origin. He challenged me to a single battle. If I won he would give me Israel, a first step to ruling Earth. Israel. It was an important place for me to take. I accepted the challenge believing it would be an easy task. As it was, I was immortal.
The day of the challenge came. Me and my men, and women, approached the battle field. As we neared it I got a bad vibe. I should have turned around, but my ego got the best of me. I began sending in my army. As soon as they stepped onto the field some invisible entity began sucking them in. All of them. It sucked my army in like a vacuum. My remaining men and I tried to retreat. Not many of us made it out though. I’d never felt so beaten in my life. I couldn’t just let it go.
So I went to Solomon’s castle. It was a mirror. A magicked mirror meant to capture me and my fellows and trap us. It was bronze, with a six point star on one side. I would have stolen it then except Satan was there, watching me. He wasn’t fooled by my disguise. So I left. But I vowed that one day I would get the Mirror. I would get it and release my brothers and sisters trapped inside. Only thing is, Satan and those still in God’s good graces have kept it well hidden from me all these years. Untill, now.
I’ve tracked the Mirror down to here, New York City. I know it’s here. After all these years, I can feel it. Satan and the Dark-Hunters, they think they’ve got me fooled, but I know it’s here. I just need to find who has it.” Lucifer finished the story with another drag of his cigarette.
The boy whom Lucifer had been speaking with sighed. "So you got any idea who's got it?" The boy asked.
Lucifer dropped the cigarette on the ground. "I've got no f**king clue."
